Pitch

Riverflow is a calm and slow-paced puzzle and management game where the player must irrigate small sprouts to make their forest grow.

The terrain expands as days pass, and the player must manage a space that grows progressively. As their forest grows, the player will discovers new types of trees and tools to keep them healthy and irrigated.

This game is a project we made as a team of 4 game designers and 1 developper while in 4rth year in rubika. We had to create a small game in a few months with the intent of publishing it on Steam later on.

During the first month of the project, I worked on the core Game design of the game. The most challenging task was designing a system for the flow of water without using heights and preventing loopholes that would have broken the game.

Once the core system was established I designed some additional content like objects or special trees in order to spice up the game.

Finally, when the Game design was mostly set, I took on the role of UI/UX designer as well as a support for the main developper.  My main task was to create and code feedback, SFX and their related features.

We are still working on the project with the intent of publishing it on Steam, even if other projects have taken priority lately. This experience has helped me discover the requirements for publishing a game on Steam.
